Three people who died after a medical helicopter crashed into the Pacific Ocean off Catalina Island have now been identified, as investigators work to determine what caused the aircraft to go down shortly after takeoff. The crash happened Wednesday evening, Sept. 30, near Pebbly Beach, shortly after the REACH Air Medical Services helicopter departed Catalina Island for the mainland. A 21-year-old Milwaukee man is facing multiple charges after police say he emerged from an open manhole near Fiserv Forum, confronted shuttle bus drivers and later knocked a 63-year-old driver unconscious. The incident happened late Sept. 13 near Juneau Avenue, outside Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee. A Fulton County jury has convicted former McDonald’s employee Devin Riley in the shooting death of his co-worker, Quintavious Clark, following a workplace dispute. Riley, 35, was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus an additional 50 years. Clark, 24, was fatally shot at a McDonald’s in East Point, Georgia, on Feb. 7, 2025.
