A 15-year-old girl was killed and another teenage girl was injured Friday night after they were struck by a large truck while riding together on a bicycle in Manhattan’s East Village, police said. The crash happened around 9 p.m. at East 14th Street and First Avenue. An overflowing swimming pool sent thousands of gallons of water into a Hollywood Hills slope Friday afternoon, contributing to a partial hillside collapse that damaged a building below and forced eight apartment units to evacuate.
