A pedestrian was killed Wednesday evening after being struck by an SUV on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie, according to police. The crash was reported around 7:50 p.m. on the entrance ramp leading to the eastbound I-30 TEXpress lanes near MacArthur Boulevard. Investigators said the pedestrian had been riding in a vehicle that became disabled before the person got out and began walking along the ramp. A 19-year-old Pittsburgh man is being held without bail after police accused him of repeatedly stabbing a former co-worker at an East Liberty bus station during a confrontation earlier this month. Delvin Dobbins was arrested Sunday after authorities received information that he was at a Wendy’s restaurant on McKnight Road. He is facing charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. A judge later denied him bond. A meeting outside a McDonald’s on Bessemer Road in Birmingham turned deadly late last month when gunfire broke out, leaving 20-year-old Isaiah Earl Hosanna dead. Police said Hosanna and several others had arranged to meet someone outside the restaurant on Sept. 28. The meeting ended in gunfire, and investigators believe Hosanna and others attempted to get away as shots were fired. A 30-year-old Tallahassee woman, Jamie Jakes, was arrested on six counts of child neglect after police discovered six children alone inside a residence early Sunday morning, according to police and court records. March, 64, received the sentence Wednesday in Volusia County after entering no-contest pleas to two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of DUI manslaughter in connection with the deaths of Thomas Lauck and Julia Ann Lauck.
