A woman suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning after being attacked by a pit bull in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, according to police. The attack was reported around 9:20 a.m. on the 500 block of Larkin Street, between Eddy and Turk streets. When San Francisco police officers arrived, they found the injured woman and the dog near her. Officers separated the woman from the dog and provided assistance until medical crews arrived. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 19-year-old Cole Torres. Torres died from blunt trauma, according to information released by the medical examiner. A 44-year-old Victorville man died after he was struck by a Mercedes-Benz early Sunday morning on Silica Drive, according to authorities. Jaime Moroyoqui was in the roadway near First Avenue at about 4:03 a.m. on Sept. 6 when he was hit by a black Mercedes-Benz C-Class traveling east on Silica Drive. The collision occurred west of First Avenue, according to information released during the investigation. Moroyoqui suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
