MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Hagerstown, Maryland, man has been sentenced to 210 months, or 17 years and six months, in federal prison for his role in an online drug trafficking operation that sold counterfeit pills containing fentanyl. Christion Sayyid Gill, 27, was sentenced Monday, Aug. 24, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia. Prosecutors said Gill and his codefendants operated what investigators described as a highly organized digital drug marketplace. RIVESVILLE, W.Va. — Two Rivesville residents were arrested after a deputy responding to a well-being check found several malnourished animals and a dead dog inside an apartment, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. Charles Lee Workman, 44, and Brittany Nicole Ice, 32, both of Rivesville, were arrested and charged with cruelty to animals. WORCESTER, Mass. — Karen Solomon, a mental health advocate who was being sought in connection with the death of her husband, Worcester police officer Kurt Solomon, was found dead Monday after nearly a week of searching, authorities said.
