MARSHFIELD, Wis. — A 47-year-old Marshfield man was taken into protective custody Tuesday morning after police responded to a report that he was trying to enter a local daycare, authorities said. The Marshfield Police Department was called at about 8:10 a.m. Aug. 25 to the daycare in the 800 block of North Peach Avenue. DAVIE, Fla. — A man was in critical condition Monday after an excavator became submerged in a retention pond at a construction site in Davie, according to police and fire rescue officials.
