A 34-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a three-vehicle crash in Victorville left two people hospitalized, authorities said.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Aug. 22 near the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Ridgecrest Road. Victorville deputies responded after a Honda Civic collided with a Kia Sorento and a Kia Forte.

Authorities identified the woman arrested as Victoria Larios, 34, of Hesperia.

Witnesses told investigators that Larios had been traveling at a high rate of speed on Santa Fe Avenue before the Honda went onto a sidewalk and became airborne. The vehicle then landed in the eastbound lanes of Bear Valley Road, where it struck the two other vehicles.

Two occupants of the Kia Sorento were injured. The SUV’s driver suffered major injuries and was taken to a trauma center for treatment.

Larios was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing bodily injury. She remained in custody without bail as of the latest information available.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details about the condition of the other injured person.

Anyone who may have information about the collision can contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Victorville Station at 760-241-2911 or the department at 760-956-5001.
