A Clinton, New Jersey, man was arrested after police said he was driving under the influence of a controlled substance in Tannersville.
Andrew Jackle, 31, was taken into custody following an investigation that began when officers encountered a vehicle that had swerved off the roadway on Resort Drive near Camelback Lodge, according to the Pocono Township Police Department.
Police said officers were working a traffic detail in the area at about 11:15 p.m. on July 3 when they observed the vehicle leave the roadway. Officers stopped and contacted Jackle, who was identified as the driver.
The encounter led to a DUI investigation. As part of that investigation, police obtained a blood analysis, which authorities said showed Jackle was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Jackle faces one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
The police department’s arrest record was posted August 30, 2026, and lists the incident location as Resort Drive in Tannersville. The case is identified by police as reference number 2026-00007158.
As with any criminal charge, an arrest is an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
