Authorities in Gulf County are asking for the public’s help in locating a 49-year-old Georgia man who was visiting family in the area.
Benjamin Russell Smith was reported missing Thursday, according to the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said Smith was in the area to visit relatives and may have been walking toward Panama City after leaving the Lake Alice Park area.
Smith was last reported wearing blue shorts and a black shirt. His possible route has prompted authorities to ask residents and anyone traveling through the area to remain alert and report information that could help locate him.
At this time, authorities have not provided additional details about where Smith may have gone after he was last seen or whether there are any confirmed sightings.
