A Boise house party that ended with the death of 20-year-old Casey Rayburn has led investigators to four identified suspects, with two already in custody and two others still being sought.

Police say Rayburn was stabbed during a large gathering in the 6000 block of North Duncan Lane shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 7. When officers, firefighters and paramedics arrived, they found people leaving the property and Rayburn suffering from stab wounds on the front porch. He later died from his injuries.

Authorities have identified Isaiah Chavez, 18, and Miyah Ford, 18, in connection with the case. Chavez is facing a second-degree murder charge, while Ford has been charged with aggravated assault. Both were already being held at the Ada County Jail when investigators connected them to the fatal stabbing.

The arrests stem from an investigation that also uncovered connections to another Boise house-party incident.

On Aug. 16, police responded to a home on South Gekeler Lane after reports of gunfire during a fight. Investigators said shots were fired into the ceiling and roof, causing property damage. Several people were arrested in that case, including Chavez and Ford. Police later said evidence indicated gang activity was a factor in both incidents.

Investigators are also pursuing two additional suspects in the Rayburn case. Police identified 22-year-old Keigan Blagburn, who is wanted on an aggravated battery charge, and 18-year-old Tashaun Maldonado, who is wanted on a charge of aiding and abetting second-degree murder.

Police believe videos recorded around the time of the stabbing could help investigators establish a clearer picture of what happened. Authorities have asked anyone who attended the party or has photos or video from the gathering to share that material with investigators.

The department has also urged witnesses who may have information about the confrontation to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.

The investigation remains active as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding Rayburn’s death and locate the two remaining suspects. Rayburn’s death was previously classified by the Ada County Coroner’s Office as a homicide, with sharp-force injuries to the chest listed as his cause of death.
