UPPER POTTSGROVE, Pa. — A 22-year-old man was fatally shot by an Upper Pottsgrove Township police officer early Sunday after authorities responded to a 911 call about a possible break-in at a home on Snyder Road. A Colorado man who carried out a series of random stabbing attacks, including an attack on a 7-year-old boy inside a Walmart, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. Luke Barkhaus, 33, received the sentence Monday in Douglas County following the January 2025 attacks in Parker. EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A 21-year-old Indiana mother is facing a felony neglect charge after police said her 4-year-old daughter, who is nonverbal and autistic, left a hotel room and was found alone in a nearby parking garage. Georgia teenager who killed her mother when she was 14 has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to felony murder and aggravated assault in the case.
