A 16-year-old Milwaukee teenager has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the fatal shooting of his 30-year-old sister during a family confrontation in June 2025. Hezile J. Frison pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Ashley Hudson. Milwaukee County Judge David Borowski handed down the sentence on Sept. 25. A 33-year-old Albuquerque man is facing charges after police say he struck and killed a woman with an SUV, left the crash scene and later returned after his father urged him to go back. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, near Central Avenue and Texas Street in southeast Albuquerque. Police said the female pedestrian died at the scene. A Washington woman who prosecutors said planned to kill her former boyfriend has been sentenced to prison after her parents discovered evidence of the plan and contacted police. Trinity Morley, now 20, pleaded guilty last month to attempted first-degree assault with a domestic violence modifier. A Seattle woman was walking to a nearby 7-Eleven during her work break when a confrontation with a stranger turned into a violent attack that left her with a serious facial injury, according to police. A 41-year-old man who worked as a cleaner at a Roseville dental office has been charged after authorities say he kidnapped a female employee as she left work, held her for hours and sexually assaulted her. Pao Yang, of Isanti, was arrested Sept. 25 and later charged in Ramsey County with six felony counts, including two counts of kidnapping, two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree aggravated robbery and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. A Hopkinsville woman has been arrested after police say her 9-year-old daughter was left outside the family home for about 17 hours after the two returned from a party. Ashland Killebrew is facing charges of second-degree criminal abuse and neglect following the incident, according to Hopkinsville police. A Lincoln Police Department captain and her partner are now facing misdemeanor child abuse charges after authorities say they left a 2-year-old child alone inside a locked van while fishing at Pawnee Lake in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
