Five people were injured Sunday evening after a four-vehicle crash on Cahuenga Boulevard near the 101 Freeway in the Hollywood Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The collision was reported around 6 p.m. in the 2800 block of Cahuenga Boulevard, a stretch of road that runs alongside the 101 Freeway.
Five people were taken to hospitals with injuries ranging in severity, firefighters said. The cause of the crash had not been determined as of the latest available information.
The collision left several vehicles badly damaged and scattered across the roadway. Aerial video from the scene showed four damaged vehicles as emergency crews worked in the area. Los Angeles Police Department officers were also seen at the crash site.
Cahuenga Boulevard was shut down for nearly two hours while crews cleared the wreckage and worked at the scene. Fire officials did not say whether anyone had to be rescued from a vehicle.
