A fire at a Dallas County salvage yard Monday evening damaged about 20 vehicles, bringing multiple fire departments to the scene along Dowdy Ferry Road, officials said.
Dallas County sheriff’s deputies were called to the area shortly after 4:30 p.m. and helped with traffic control in the 2700 block of Dowdy Ferry Road. Their efforts helped keep access clear as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
The fire involved vehicles at the salvage yard and prompted a response from multiple fire departments. By 6:20 p.m., officials said the fire was under control.
No injuries had been reported as of the latest update. Officials also had not released information about what caused the fire.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, and additional details may be released as authorities assess the scene.
