    Boston Police Seek Help Identifying Woman in Roxbury Assault on Elderly Person

    Boston police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman in connection with an assault and battery involving an elderly person in Roxbury.

    The incident happened Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the area of Rockland Street, according to the Boston Police Department. Detectives assigned to District B-2 are investigating and are seeking information that could help identify the woman shown in police images.

    Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic woman who was wearing a white top and blue jeans at the time of the incident. Investigators said she left the area in an unidentified blue-and-black SUV.

    The Boston Police Department has not released additional details about what led to the assault or provided further information about the elderly person involved. The investigation remains active as detectives review the circumstances surrounding the incident.

    Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact District B-2 detectives at 617-343-4275.

    Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Boston CrimeStoppers by calling 1-800-494-TIPS, texting “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or submitting information online through the Boston Police Department’s CrimeStoppers program. Police said photos and videos related to the investigation can also be submitted anonymously.

    The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details about the circumstances of the assault.
