A multi-agency enforcement operation in Arizona’s Yuma Sector resulted in the arrest of 95 truck drivers earlier this month, as federal authorities stepped up efforts to disrupt drug and human-smuggling activity along the southern border. According to Customs and Border Protection, all 95 drivers held state-issued commercial driver’s licenses. Seventy-six of those licenses were issued by California, while six came from New York. A Georgia teenager who investigators say had considered carrying out a shooting at her former middle school before killing her mother instead has been sentenced to life in prison. Lilyana Rose Wagner, now 16, pleaded guilty to felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the November 2024 death of her mother, 51-year-old Rachel Suzanne Wagner. A traffic stop in North Vernon on Sunday led to the arrest of a 32-year-old local man on multiple preliminary drug and other charges, according to police. The North Vernon Police Department said Officer Jessiah Watts stopped a vehicle in the 00 block of N. State Street on Aug. 30. During the stop, officers conducted a probable-cause search of the vehicle, which was being driven by Zachary Ryan Clark, 32, of North Vernon.
