Chicago police are searching for a man accused of sexually abusing three women in separate incidents reported within about an hour in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood.
The incidents occurred Friday, Sept. 11, between 8 and 9 p.m., according to police. Investigators said the man approached the women from behind, wrapped his arms around them and touched their breasts and groin areas over their clothing before leaving the area.
The reported incidents occurred in the following areas:
- 3400 block of North Springfield Avenue
- 3900 block of North Cornelia Avenue
- 3300 block of North Avers Avenue
Police believe the same suspect may be connected to all three incidents.
Investigators described the suspect as a Hispanic man with a medium-to-dark complexion who is believed to be between 20 and 40 years old. He was reportedly wearing a black or dark-colored baseball-style cap, a dark polo-style shirt with red stripes across the chest, dark shorts, black socks and white gym shoes.
In one of the incidents, police said the suspect was seen leaving in a red sedan.
No suspect has been identified publicly, and police have not announced an arrest in connection with the incidents.
Area 5 detectives are investigating and are asking anyone who may have information about the suspect or the incidents to come forward. Investigators are also asking people who may have relevant information or surveillance footage from the area to contact police.
