Wawa is set to officially open its new Lebanon location on Wednesday, September 2, bringing the convenience store chain’s third Tennessee store to customers at 1000 Murfreesboro Road.

The grand opening will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. The store is identified as Wawa Store 7010 and is located in Wilson County.

Customers arriving for the opening will have several chances to take part in the celebration. The first 250 customers will receive a limited-edition Wawa T-shirt, while free hot coffee of any size will be available during the opening celebration.

The event will also feature Wawa’s “Parade of the Ages,” a presentation highlighting milestones from the company’s history. Wawa mascot Wally Goose is expected to be part of the festivities as well.

Another part of the celebration will be the company’s “Hoagies for Heroes” competition, which brings local first responders into a friendly hoagie-building contest. Wawa plans to recognize local police and fire departments through the event, with a $1,000 donation going to each department’s charity of choice.

What to Know About the Lebanon Opening

The celebration is scheduled to begin with the customer giveaway at 8 a.m. The ribbon-cutting and other festivities will follow at 8:30 a.m.

    Grand opening schedule:

    • 8 a.m.: T-shirt giveaway begins for the first 250 customers; free hot coffee begins
    • 8:30 a.m.: Ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening festivities

The Lebanon opening is part of Wawa’s broader expansion across Tennessee. The company has announced plans to have as many as seven Tennessee stores open in 2026 and to develop more than 50 locations across the state over the next decade.

Wawa has said its Tennessee expansion will also bring additional employment opportunities. Each new store is expected to employ about 35 associates once operating, while construction is expected to involve roughly 140 contractors and local partners. The company estimates the statewide expansion could create about 1,750 long-term jobs.

The Lebanon store is one of several Wawa locations planned for Middle Tennessee. The company has also announced openings in Dickson and Murfreesboro, as it continues building its presence in the state.

For Lebanon residents, the September 2 event will mark the arrival of a new food, beverage, convenience and fuel option along Murfreesboro Road as Wawa expands its Tennessee footprint.
