The pleasant weather will continue into Wednesday, which is expected to be sunny with a high near 87 degrees. Winds should remain light, becoming southwest during the afternoon.
The weather pattern begins to change Wednesday night. The National Weather Service says there is a chance of showers during the early morning hours Thursday, followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms later in the morning.
Thursday brings the best chance for rain
Thursday currently looks like the wettest day of the week in Philadelphia.
The latest forecast calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm, with an 80% chance of precipitation and a high near 86 degrees. The National Weather Service estimates that rainfall could total between a quarter and half an inch, although higher amounts may occur in thunderstorms.
