EL PASO, Texas — El Paso police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help identifying two men accused of breaking into a Central El Paso vape shop after crashing a stolen vehicle into the business.

The burglary happened around 3 a.m. July 30 at Golden Vapor, located at 4700 Dyer St., according to Crime Stoppers of El Paso.

Investigators say the two men used a vehicle to reverse into the business, creating an opening that allowed them to get inside. The suspects then ran into the store and took approximately $2,890 worth of merchandise.

The burglary also caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the business, Crime Stoppers said.

The vehicle used in the break-in had reportedly been stolen the previous day. It was later recovered following the burglary.

Crime Stoppers described the suspects as white or Hispanic males. Both were reportedly wearing light-colored hooded sweatshirts, black face masks and athletic shoes.

One suspect was wearing black sweatpants and appeared to have a thinner build than the other man.

The suspects left the scene in the stolen vehicle, according to Crime Stoppers.

The case has been selected as this week’s “Crime of the Week,” and authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about the burglary to come forward.

Tips can be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-8477 (TIPS) or through its website. A cash reward may be available if information provided leads to an arrest.
