A Runnemede woman accused of trying to arrange the killings of her former boyfriend and his daughter has now been indicted on federal murder-for-hire charges, according to federal prosecutors.

Jaclyn D. Diiorio, 28, was arrested and charged with two counts alleging the use of interstate commerce facilities in connection with an attempted murder-for-hire scheme. Prosecutors say she used a cellphone to communicate about plans to have two people killed in exchange for money.

The alleged plot dates back to March 2025. According to the federal indictment, Diiorio allegedly communicated with a person she believed could carry out the killings. The intended targets were her former boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his daughter.

Investigators say the alleged arrangement involved a payment of about $12,000. On April 4, 2025, Diiorio allegedly met with a confidential informant in Gloucester Township and handed over $500 as an initial payment.

She was taken into custody shortly after the exchange by members of the Gloucester Township Police Department’s Special Response Team.

The case initially moved forward in Camden County, where Diiorio faced charges including two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy. The investigation involved the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Gloucester Township Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service and federal authorities.

Federal prosecutors have now brought the case through a grand jury indictment. Diiorio made her initial appearance in federal court on September 9, 2026, and is being held in federal custody pending a detention hearing scheduled for September 14.

The federal indictment alleges that Diiorio used a cellphone, considered a facility of interstate commerce, in connection with the alleged murder-for-hire plan between approximately March 30 and April 5, 2025.

If convicted on the federal charges, Diiorio faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison.

The allegations remain accusations, and Diiorio is presumed innocent unless and until she is proven guilty in court.
