Virginia State Police have canceled a Critically Missing Adult Alert for 72-year-old Jeannette Moxley after authorities confirmed she has been located.
Moxley, who was reported missing from Patrick County, was last known to have been seen on foot around 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the 100 block of Salem Highway in Stuart.
Authorities had been searching for Moxley after the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office reported concerns about her safety. Investigators described the disappearance as posing a credible threat to her health and well-being.
Moxley was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with hazel eyes and blond hair. She was believed to have been wearing an aqua-colored shirt and black pants and may have been carrying a dark walking stick when she was last seen.
The Virginia State Police alert has now been canceled following confirmation that Moxley was found.
No further information about where she was located or her condition has been released by authorities at this time.
