A Pennsylvania man who worked as a supervisor at a popular Halloween attraction is facing additional criminal charges after prosecutors accused him of sexually assaulting a female co-worker while on the job. Authorities say the latest case is part of a broader investigation involving three alleged victims, including a 12-year-old girl.
Edward Eisenhard, 38, is accused of separate incidents in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, involving alleged sexual misconduct at the Valley of Fear Halloween attraction, a Five Below store and a residence in Springfield Township.
Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan said investigators are examining the allegations and want to hear from anyone who may have experienced inappropriate or criminal conduct involving Eisenhard.
The charges have raised questions about workplace safety and the responsibility of supervisors who have authority over other employees. Investigators have also been asked whether there could be additional victims, although officials have cautioned against drawing conclusions before more information is established.
Alleged assault at the Valley of Fear
The latest charges stem from an incident prosecutors say occurred on September 25 at the Valley of Fear in Lower Southampton Township.
According to the criminal complaint, Eisenhard was taking a break when he allegedly grabbed a female employee, restrained her and touched her indecently without her consent. Prosecutors allege that he held the woman until he needed to return to his duties.
Khan described the reported encounter as a frightening experience for the woman and said his office intends to pursue the case.
Eisenhard had reportedly worked at the Halloween attraction for approximately 10 seasons and held a supervisory position that gave him authority over some employees.
Prosecutors clarified that he was not employed as an actor at the attraction. His role was supervisory, making the allegations particularly concerning because of the workplace relationship between the accused and the employee.
The Valley of Fear case is the second workplace-related allegation against Eisenhard to result in charges during the same period.
Separate allegations at a Five Below store
Eisenhard was initially arrested on October 1 in connection with an alleged assault involving a 19-year-old female co-worker at a Five Below store in Hilltown Township.
Prosecutors allege that the incident occurred on September 27, two days after the reported incident at the Halloween attraction.
According to the allegations, Eisenhard isolated the employee in a stockroom and touched her without her consent.
Khan said investigators obtained a recorded phone admission from Eisenhard with assistance from Hilltown Township police. The recording is part of the reported investigative evidence, and the allegations will be addressed through the criminal justice process.
The two workplace cases involve different alleged victims and separate locations. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding each incident as they build their cases.
A third case involves a 12-year-old girl
The investigation also includes allegations involving a 12-year-old girl in Springfield Township.
According to the criminal complaint, Eisenhard allegedly had access to the girl through his relationship with her family. Prosecutors accuse him of entering her bedroom while she was sleeping and sexually assaulting and molesting her.
Authorities have not publicly established the allegations through a trial, and Eisenhard is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The three cases involve alleged victims ranging in age from 12 to 38, according to the district attorney.
Because one of the alleged victims is a child, the case also highlights the importance of taking disclosures of possible abuse seriously and ensuring that concerns involving minors are reported to appropriate authorities.
Investigators are looking for additional information
Prosecutors say the investigation is continuing, and they are asking people who may have information about Eisenhard to contact the district attorney’s office.
Officials have not confirmed that there are additional victims beyond those identified in the current cases. Khan said investigators would follow the evidence rather than speculate about what might have happened.
Authorities have also addressed concerns about whether Eisenhard could have targeted visitors at the Valley of Fear, including children who attended the Halloween attraction.
Khan said investigators would examine any credible information brought to their attention but would not assume that additional incidents had occurred without evidence.
The appeal for information is intended to help authorities determine whether other allegations warrant investigation. Anyone who believes they experienced misconduct involving Eisenhard, or who has relevant information, is being encouraged to come forward.
Why workplace authority matters in these allegations
The allegations involving the Valley of Fear and Five Below share an important feature: both involve employees who were allegedly targeted by someone working alongside them, with Eisenhard reportedly serving in a supervisory capacity at the Halloween attraction.
In workplaces, supervisors can influence schedules, assignments and day-to-day conditions. That authority makes it important for employers to maintain clear reporting procedures, take complaints seriously and protect employees who raise concerns.
However, the existence of a supervisory relationship does not itself establish that a crime occurred. Investigators must examine the specific circumstances, available evidence and witness accounts in each case.
The allegations against Eisenhard remain criminal accusations, and the legal process will determine the outcome.
Bail and the next steps
Eisenhard remains in custody after failing to post bail following his initial arrest, according to Khan.
Following the filing of additional charges, prosecutors said they would ask a judge to hold him without bail, arguing that he poses a danger to the community.
That request is not an automatic outcome. A judge must consider the applicable legal standards and the information presented before deciding whether Eisenhard should remain detained without bail.
The case is expected to proceed as authorities continue reviewing evidence related to the three alleged incidents and assessing any additional information that comes forward.
Khan has emphasized that people who believe they were victimized should feel comfortable contacting his office and being treated with dignity and respect.
For investigators, the immediate priority is to establish the facts in each case, determine whether further charges are warranted and ensure that any additional allegations receive appropriate attention.
As the investigation continues, authorities are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward rather than assume their experience is unimportant or unrelated to the case.
