Chicago Bears fans heading to Soldier Field this season once again have a convenient way to get to the stadium without dealing with as much game-day traffic.

The free shuttle service connecting the Millennium Park garage with Soldier Field has returned for the 2026 season after being suspended last year. The service had operated for more than a decade before taking a one-season break.

For fans parking at the Millennium Park garage, the shuttle provides a direct ride to the stadium using private access roads. Buses drop passengers near the 18th Street Pedestrian Bridge, just south of Soldier Field, allowing fans to get close to the stadium without making the walk through heavy game-day traffic.

The service will operate for all nine Bears home games this season and could also be available for playoff games if the team hosts any postseason contests.

Millennium Garages Chief Revenue Officer Paul Sanett said the decision to suspend the shuttle last season was financial, but the response from fans made it clear that the service was still highly valued.

The return comes with an upgrade as well. The shuttle fleet has been changed from school buses to larger coach buses, providing fans with a more comfortable ride.

About a dozen buses are expected to operate on game days, with the service capable of carrying as many as 3,000 fans to each home game.

The shuttle is being sponsored by GEICO this season, allowing fans to continue using the service at no cost. The sponsorship is currently a one-year agreement, although there is potential for the arrangement to continue beyond this season.

    Where to catch the shuttle

Fans can board the free buses at the Lower Randolph entrance of the Millennium Park garage. The buses will take passengers directly toward Soldier Field and drop them at the base of the 18th Street Pedestrian Bridge.

Shuttle service begins three hours before kickoff and continues until two hours after the game ends.

For Bears fans driving downtown, the returning shuttle gives them another option for reaching Soldier Field while avoiding some of the congestion that typically builds up around the stadium before and after games.
