Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Loren Moran

Breast cancer is a serious illness that affects about 1 in 8 women in the United States. It is also estimated that 276,480 women in the U.S will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer just this year. With October being breast cancer awareness month, many of our sports teams at Waverly High School are wearing pink in various ways to show their support. The girls soccer team,  specifically, has a tradition of wearing pink pre-wrap every game, and some of the boys team members have even gone as far as dying their hair. Wear your pink this month to show your support for the awareness of this life threatening illness!
